Position title: Coordinator of Climate and Community Engagement

Through the mission and vision of her current role as Coordinator of Climate and Community Engagement, Alice supports staff who wish to reflect on their roles within the workplace and their relationships with colleagues and students. She has been academic staff of the UW System since 2000—first at UW-Milwaukee and currently at UW-Madison.

Within the span of a career in higher education, located in Wisconsin and elsewhere, she has worked in student affairs, academic affairs, and multicultural affairs. Participating in the following institutes and trainings has significantly influenced her current work: Social Justice Training Institute (SJTI), the Midwest Academy (Organizing for Social Change), the Equity and Justice Institute, Embodied Social Justice Certificate, and the Healing-Centered Education Primer. Among other roles she’s previously held on campus, Alice was a part of the Learning and Talent Development staff in the Office of Human Resources and helped developed curriculum for the courses that make up Thrive @ UW.
