Position title: Coordinator of Climate and Community Engagement

Email: alice.traore@wisc.edu

Through the mission and vision of her current role as Coordinator of Climate and Community Engagement, Alice supports staff who wish to reflect on their roles within the workplace and strengthen their relationships with colleagues and students. She has been an employee of the Universities of Wisconsin since 2000—first at UW-Milwaukee and currently at UW-Madison.

Within the span of a career in higher education within Wisconsin and elsewhere, Alice has worked in student affairs, academic affairs, and multicultural affairs. Her past supervisory roles have broadened her definition of leadership and has led Alice to focus on ways to identify and support staff needs, as well as assist organizations in the development of a healthy workplace culture. Among other roles she’s previously held on campus, Alice was a part of the Learning and Talent Development staff in the Office of Human Resources and helped develop curriculum for the courses offered in Thrive@UW.

An organization that demonstrates sincere care for its staff is carving a pathway to sustainable success.
