Providing central coordination for the undergraduate advising, career services & learning support communities

Career Services Network Community of Practice

The Career Services Network Community of Practice is a virtual space for all career services colleagues to come together and engage in meaningful discussions around current topics, shared challenges, collaboration opportunities, and promising practices in our field.

The discussion topics for each meeting will be determined by community members! A few weeks before each meeting, a poll will be sent through the Career Services Staff Listserv to vote on discussion topics. The top 3 to 4 topics will then be featured in breakout rooms in our virtual meeting space.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of topics we might explore together:

  • Employer and alumni relations
  • Event and program planning
  • Experiential learning
  • Operations
  • And much more!

Please note that this community will not cover career courses and curriculum. There is a separate Career Courses & Curriculum Community of Practice dedicated to discussing teaching and developing career-related curriculum.

How do I join?

All career services staff are welcome to participate in this Community of Practice—no formal membership or registration is required. To receive communications and meeting invitations, please be sure to join the Career Services Staff Listserv.
