We are inviting session proposals for our 2025 Academic & Career Success Conference! The conference will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 in Memorial Union and Gordon Dining & Event Center.
We encourage all members of the advising, career services, and learning support communities to submit conference session proposals about topics they are excited about and interested in sharing! Each conference session will be 50 minutes in length and we invite creativity when thinking about session format (presentation, workshop, guest panel, etc.).
The conference session proposal form identifies some key topic areas of interest from the three communities. Everyone is welcome to submit ideas based on those areas OR outside of them.
The deadline to submit proposals is Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 5:00 pm.

What is Required for a Conference Session Proposal?
The conference session proposal form will gather basic information and logistical details, and will also ask you for:
- Session title (10 word limit): A short, yet impactful title that accurately reflects your topic and overall learning goals for attendees
- Session abstract (100 word limit): The session abstract expands on your title and serves as greater context for attendees when choosing which sessions to attend. Important elements include why your topic is relevant to the community/communities, what specific elements your session will focus on, and what attendees will get out of your session.
- Learning outcomes (3 to 5 outcomes): Describe the information, skills, behaviors, or perspectives participants in the session will acquire through their attendance. Each learning outcome should be specific, measurable, and relevant to your topic area.
In choosing conference sessions, the OACS Conference Planning Team will identify a group of sessions that support the overall goals of the conference, display a variety of topics and formats, and aim to represent multiple units and offices from across the advising, career, and learning support communities.
