2020 Advising Conference
Join campus colleagues for a day of learning and community building at our annual advising conference. For the first time ever we’ll be offering a pre-conference session. More details will be shared soon!
We welcome proposals that cover topics related to career, academic, and overall student experience, as well as advisors’ professional development. Learn more and see examples of past sessions below.

- Campus problem-solving workshop
- Anything else – we encourage creativity!

How long are the sessions?
Conference sessions are 50 minutes. If you have an idea for the pre-conference or a session that is a different length, please contact the Advising Conference Committee chair, Kala Grove at kala.grove@wisc.edu
What is the proposal selection criteria?
Each proposal is reviewed according the following selection criteria:
- Opportunity to build Advising Core Competencies
- Relevance to current issues in advising
- Innovation
- Appeal to conference participants
