As the Assistant Director for Career Services Technology, Ilsa provides support for students and career services staff through strategic leadership, communication, and training around campus-wide career services technology tools. In this role, Ilsa leads efforts to optimize and integrate platforms such as Handshake, Big Interview, and 12twenty, ensuring that technology is leveraged effectively to meet the evolving needs of the career services community at UW-Madison.

Ilsa started her career in higher education at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, coordinating professional development efforts for educators of multilingual learners before transitioning to career services roles at Indiana University and University of Iowa. Since coming back to UW-Madison in 2013, she has led efforts in career services, admissions and recruitment, advising, and experiential learning with the ever present goals of inclusion, transparency, and organizational improvement. She earned her BS in Psychology and Certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies from UW–Madison and her MSEd in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University–Bloomington.
