Notes in Advising Gateway (Previously Advisor Notes System or ANS) is a note keeping database for student interactions within the Advising Gateway. Authorization to Notes is separate from authorization to the Advising Gateway. Notes in Advising Gateway was designed with two primary goals in mind:
- To enhance the ability of advisors to support students by providing users interaction history and enabling interactions with to take place within a meaningful context
- To capture data and make the available information useful for assessment at multiple levels across campus
While Notes in Advising Gateway was originally designed to meet undergraduate advising and career services needs, it can be used by graduate and professional advisors to document contacts with their advisees.
