Mental Health First Aid Training: Morning Session Day 1

Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program that teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, listen non-judgmentally, give reassurance to someone who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and refer a person to appropriate professional support and services. This course is designed to teach people how to approach, assess, and assist someone who may be experiencing early signs and symptoms of a mental health challenge, worsening signs and symptoms, or who may be experiencing a crisis.

This training is presented by Soumya Palreddy, PhD, and designed for UW-Madison Division of Teaching & Learning community members including faculty, instructors, advisors, career services, and learning support staff members.

When: Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (note: this training consists of two ½ day sessions – please register for both days)

Where: Memorial Union (please check “Today in the Union” for the exact room)
