Learn to Use Tableau!

Thu, October 15 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm

Interested in learning more about using Tableau, UW–Madison’s data visualization software? Join us for Learn to Use Tableau, a hands-on training session that will help you get comfortable using Tableau for data visualizations and Institutional Data Exporters (IDEs). In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Apply filters and navigate dashboards
  • Save custom views and download data
  • Build transferable skills for any Tableau workbook—including those in the OACS Data Catalog

You’ll also leave with a better understanding of the campus resources available to support your next steps in using data effectively.

No prior experience with these tools is needed. We’ll be working with simplified, practice datasets—not operational data tied to specific roles—so you can focus on building transferable skills in a low-pressure environment. Please bring a laptop to this training.

Registered participants must take the 30-minute virtual Data@UW training prior to attending this in-person training workshop.
