This orientation session is for new users of the university’s shared Advisor Notes System (ANS). This session provides an introduction to the system, a live demonstration including navigation and record entry, and guidelines for use of the system focusing on writing and interpreting advising notes.
This 1 hour and 15 minute session is required for new users of the Advisor Notes System.
Any faculty and/or staff member who has an undergraduate advising/career services role (as all or part of their work) or who needs access to individual student undergraduate advising notes for their work are currently eligible to use the Advisor Notes System. At this time undergraduate employees and staff are not eligible to use the system. Please note: while ANS was originally designed to meet undergraduate advising/career services needs, it can certainly be used by graduate and professional advisors to document contacts with their advisees.
This training will be offered in a virtual format (Zoom).
Registrants will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting approximately 24 hours prior to the start time.
