Community Cultural Wealth in Career Services

April 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Community Cultural Wealth (CCW) framework offers insight into how we can challenge our minds to begin removing deficit ways of thinking when it comes to groups we serve, particularly as we look to continue offering inclusive programming.

During this in-person workshop, Dr. Trevor McCray from SuccessWorks at the College of Letters and Science will introduce career services colleagues to the CCW framework, learning how to translate this theory to practice and how it relates to career services on the student and employer-facing side.

By attending this workshop, career services staff will:

  • Learn valuable tools to leverage CCW in your work.
  • Build community with colleagues across campus who may or may not be doing this work currently.

The workshop will be held on April 4 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm in Memorial Union. Please check Today in the Union for the exact room.
