The toolkit includes resources and best practices for student-directed communications\, sample outreach templates\, and related training opportunities for academic advisors.  \nThis will be an opportunity to dig into the resource\, ask questions to the creators\, and share your own communication practices with colleagues. DESCRIPTION:The OACS Advising Assessment Community of Practice (CoP) brings together UW-Madison advisors and student support professionals who are interested in assessing student learning and using assessment practices to strengthen advising. This CoP was developed for academic advisors\, career services staff\, learning support staff\, and faculty advisors who are interested in discussion about the assessment of student learning for the purpose of improving practices. Whether you’re new to supervising or a seasoned leader looking to strengthen your skills\, Supervisor Sessions offer a valuable opportunity to learn\, connect\, and grow. Each monthly professional development session will bring supervisors together to explore a specific leadership or supervisory topic. Participants will also have dedicated time for confidential peer consultation\, allowing participants to share challenges\, exchange ideas\, and learn from colleagues’ experiences. \n🌟 September’s session will focus on community building and getting started with consulting and sharing resources. \nIn previous years\, these sessions were part of the OACS Supervisors’ Community of Practice.
