SUMMARY:Tableau Training for Career Services
DESCRIPTION:The Office of Academic & Career Success\, in partnership with the Office of Data\, Academic & Institutional Research\, is excited to present a Tableau training for career services staff! \nTableau is a business intelligence data visualization tool that allows users to interact with data through dynamic and interactive dashboards\, maps\, and other presentation formats. We currently use Tableau to house our First Destination Survey (FDS) data visualizations\, making it an important resource for career services staff. In addition to FDS data\, Tableau can be used to access enrollment information\, trends in degrees\, and much more. \nAttendees should expect to use their laptops to navigate Tableau during the session and will learn more about how to make the most of this data tool. \nThis event is limited to 25 participants\, however\, we do anticipate offering it again in the future. \nPlease complete this interest form by Friday\, March 29 if you would like to attend. We will follow up with you to confirm participation after the registration deadline has passed. \nQuestions? Reach out to Tara Milliken at tara.milliken@wisc.edu.

SUMMARY:Transferology Training
DESCRIPTION:The Credit Evaluation Services team will be providing training on using Transferology and TransferologyLab on April 26th from 10:00 – 10:45 am. \nTransferologyLab is the source of transfer equivalencies for faculty and staff at UW. Transferology is the student facing website\, with transfer equivalencies from institutions across the country. The equivalencies are the same on both sites. \nThe session will be a live demonstration with the opportunity to follow along in your own account. The session will include using both TransferologyLab and Transferology to view course equivalencies\, find direct equivalents\, and search for UW requirements. \nWe are providing this training because the Office of the Registrar has retired the Course Equivalency Service. It has been replaced by allowing UW-Madison students to reliably use and add equivalents to Transferology\, a public transfer credit database. The Office of the Registrar held an information session about this change earlier this year. If you could not attend or would like to revisit the presentation\, you can access the recording here. \nThis training session is appropriate for any advisor wanting a refresher on Transferology or TransferologyLab\, or any advisor new to these sites.  \nThe training will be 45 minutes\, which will include time for questions. \nRegistration is not required. You can join the info session by clicking here on the event date/time.

SUMMARY:ANS 101
DESCRIPTION:This orientation session is for new users of the university’s shared Advisor Notes System (ANS). This session provides an introduction to the system\, a live demonstration including navigation and record entry\, and guidelines for use of the system focusing on writing and interpreting advising notes. \nThis 1 hour and 15 minute session is required for new users of the Advisor Notes System. \nAny faculty and/or staff member who has an undergraduate advising/career services role (as all or part of their work) or who needs access to individual student undergraduate advising notes for their work are currently eligible to use the Advisor Notes System. At this time undergraduate employees and staff are not eligible to use the system. Please note: while ANS was originally designed to meet undergraduate advising/career services needs\, it can certainly be used by graduate and professional advisors to document contacts with their advisees. \nThis training will be offered in a virtual format (Zoom). \nRegistrants will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting approximately 24 hours prior to the start time. \nRegister Here!
